QTML 2018 follows the very successful workshop of the same name hosted in Verona, Italy in November 2017. It also continues the tradition of the 2016 Quantum Machine Learning Workshop and the 2017 Quantum Machine Learning Summer School that were hosted in South Africa, with a wonderful follow-up conference in Bilbao, Spain this year.
The conference will bring together experts from Quantum Computing and Machine Learning to discuss the latest progress in the rapidly growing field of Quantum Machine Learning. Example topics are

Venue & Getting there
QTML 2018 will be held at Marriott's PROTEA HOTEL EDWARD at the Durban Beach Front in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Durban is South Africa's third largest city where people from a multitude of backgrounds live. It is famous for its Indian curries, the warm Indian ocean and the vibrant Zulu culture.
Durban is about 20 minutes by car from King Shaka International Airport. You can take an Uber (approximately ZAR 200-300 from the airport), a taxi, or speak to us to arrange transport. A low-cost shuttle leaves at the airport every hour during daytime to take you to the hotel (ca. ZAR 80, cash payment). The airport has plenty ATMs and foreign exchange at arrivals.
KwaZulu-Natal has a stunning coastline, the Drakensberg mountains, and a number of excellent game reserves. Should you wish to extend your stay for touristic reasons we are happy to put you in touch with an agency that organises one- or mutliple-day tours for conference delegates.
