QTML Satellite Workshop
-Korea Quantum Boot Camp, IBM Q, October 25, 2019, KAIST

The QTML 2019 conference will be followed by a satellite workshop, Korea Quantum Boot Camp, IBMQ from 9:00 to 15:30 on Friday October 25 at KAIST.

Quantum computing is nearing a phase of accessibility that warrants experimental exploration of Quantum algorithms in various application domains. Though early in its development, quantum computing is now available on real hardware via the cloud through IBM Q and Qiskit, an open source Python-based programming framework covering all aspects of quantum programming.

During this bootcamp, IBM will speak about its open-source software and APIs for quantum computing, with an emphasis on recent application efforts. The bootcamp is designed to give a complete technical overview of Qiskit, with the goal of enabling participants to begin working with Quantum algorithms and applications in Qiskit as quickly as possible. Practical Qiskit code for applications in Quantum Chemistry, Machine Learning, and Optimization will be discussed, as well as best practices and tips for executing in simulation and on Quantum hardware. The bootcamp will be geared toward practical usage of the software, so knowledge of quantum computing basics is preferred. The entirety of the bootcamp will be presented from iPython notebooks, so a familiarity with imperative programming is also preferred.

Camp Program
